A fragment from a lost work of Aristotle.

Ἀριστοτέλης δ’ ἐν τῷ σοφιστῇ φησὶ πρῶτον Ἐμπεδοκλέα ῥητορικὴν εὑρεῖν, Ζήνωνα δὲ διαλεκτικήν.

Aristotle says in his Sophist that Empedocles was the first to discover rhetoric, and Zeno dialectic.
